Open Jaw tickets
An Open Jaw airfare is an airline ticket in which the traveller flies into one city eg Moscow and back from another eg Beijing
The “surface” trip between these two cities is then made by Trans Sib. Moreover it’s usually cheaper than buying two one way tickets.
So if you’re coming back to the UK these Open Jaw tickets are some of the best value tickets you can get.
As Trans Sib specialists, roundtheworldflights.com have some great deals on IT fares (Inclusive Tour rates), that you just can’t and won’t find online, whatsmore we have them on some superb UK and European airlines, not Air Dodgy. We're the experts, so ask us about our Open Jaw IT fares.
UK - Moscow surface Beijing - UK from £650
UK - St Petersburg surface Beijing - UK - UK from £675
UK - Moscow surface Hong Kong - UK from £699
Onward tickets to Australia and New Zealand
A lot of our passengers are Australians and New Zealanders going back home. We call it the Ultimate Journey Home. What we've discovered over the years is that time travelling through Africa is expensive (Time equals money spent). So flying a portion of the trip home seems to make a lot of sense, especially if you only have between 2 weeks and 3 months to get home. Basically you'll fly some of the trip and surface (ie make your own way between certain cities) the rest.
Another thing is that these fares are common rated (ie the same price) from London Heathrow, Manchester, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Round the World tickets
Global Village are the round the world experts. Our website roundtheworldflights.com is Number 1 on Google and we do thousands of RTWs every year. What most passengers don’t realise is that you can do RTWs incorporating the Trans Sib. The tickets have a huge bonus in that they’re mostly valid for 12 months and and can be changed free of charge or for a small fee.
Do I need insurance? Do I need vaccinations?
We do not require you to have Travel Insurance to take any of our trips. But you can buy it here. No vaccinations are mandatory but you would be well advised to take informed advice on this (not every GP may be as well informed on the latest developments in these locations. Particular concerns are Cholera, Typhoid, Hepatitis B, Tetanus and Diphtheria. We also suggest you take a first aid kit, to include a sterile surgical kit.
Can I stay extra nights?
How much spending money will I need?
This depends on what lifestyle you plan to pursue on your trip ! Eating and drinking are similar to most European cities.
Travelling with children
There are no serious downsides, and the infrastructure of travel and accommodation works well if you are taking children along. So priming your children is essential if they are not going to get bored. Take supplies of games, ebooks, books and comics and English reading material is unavailable for both children and adults alike. The journey is however the most fantastic introduction to a world they will have never known and they will meet many local children along the way, who will be curious about your lives so take photos of home! Child prices on application.
How safe is it to book with us?
ATOL exists to protect the public from losing money or being stranded abroad because of the failure of air travel firms. It was first introduced in 1972 and it gives comprehensive consumer protection to 28 million people in the UK who buy flights or air holidays each year. The company has an Air Travel Organiser’s License (ATOL - 6283) granted by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). ATOL protects you from losing your money or being stranded abroad. It does this by carrying out checks on the tour operators and travel organisers it licenses, and requiring a financial guarantee called a bond, which is lodged with us. If a tour operator goes out of business, the CAA will make a refund to you, or if you're abroad, we'll arrange for you to finish your holiday and fly home. For further information please visit the ATOL website.
IATA - The International Airport Association
The International Airport Association governs the administration of airline ticket issuance. The company is also a member and is bonded by the International Air Travel Association (IATA - 91257073), which allows us to issue tickets on our premises in Islington.
